Hello, Tammy and the good people at EGAPL, It’s been almost a two years since Don and I adopted Eddie and we thought we’d send you a few pictures of his life with us here in Greenville. He is a wonderful dog and we love him very much…a real sweetheart who wants to be with us all the time. He still has the appetite of a stray and will eat pretty much anything he can with vigor (he’s not as trim as he was when with you!). He and Lola go for two walks every day and he loves the snow. He is very anxious around other dogs and would attack a pack of pit bulls if given the opportunity. About a year and a half ago we hired a trainer, Jim Barry, who only did positive-based training, in an attempt to rid him of it. It didn’t really take, but I have to admit that we were not very good with reinforcing the behavior. Don and I hope that you enjoy seeing Eddie, two years later. We feel very lucky to have him. Best regards, Richard Ventrone and Don Enos |

I like walking in the snow. |
She loves me. |
My plaid coat is easy to get in and out of. |
Please give us some privacy, this our bedroom. |
I think I love her, too. |
We are taking a walk together. |
We were made for each other. |

I’m sorry it’s taken me awhile to drop you a note. Eddie is the greatest little guy! Rick, Lola and I have fallen in love with him. He and Lola have marathon play sessions, take a nap, and then start all over again. They really get along great. The first week was bit rough with pooping and peeing in the house, mostly Lola I think, but that has calmed down and things are settling in very nicely. I’m so glad we were fortunate enough to find Eddie; he is a real sweetie with a great disposition. I think I told you, Tammy, that our vet was a bit concerned about his elevated kidney function values, well we repeated a full blood panel last week and all values are now normal. In a few weeks we’re going to have his teeth cleaned. |

EDDY'S STORY Things continue to go well here in my new home although my new sister is a real bitch (get it?!...ain’t I clever). My new dads are very nice but I have my suspicions about them. They’re heavy into flower arranging, interior decorating, and are constantly playing either Barbra Streisand records, or watching Judy Garland musicals. Hmmmm. I’ve got them wrapped around my little dew claw. I’ve attached a few pictures of Lola and I taken this morning. She’s got the hots for me, but can you really blame her!? I hope to see myself on your “success stories” page soon. |
